Job Description

The e-learning Manager will manage and support the design, development, implementation and evaluation of online training material, resources and programs as part of a blended learning delivery strategy. The incumbent will ensure cost effective online training and development services of a high professional standard which makes a demonstrable contribution to the achievement of the Bank’s Goals Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • The development and implementation of the E-Learning culture and strategy.
  • Closely work with the functional heads and line managers to design and develop the E-Learning courses and programs and provide expertise and leadership to support the delivery of HR’s priorities and meet operational requirements within a Best Value regime.
  • To develop and implement an E-Learning practices that reflect the company’s commitment to high quality standards through the use of technology, ensuring that all training modules are standardized,
  • To manage e-course delivery, testing, and certification process within given timelines.
  • To work closely with trainers to script & design high quality, diverse materials.
  • To test, implement, and maintain Action Script-based components and applications.
  • To create templates to be used for training material throughout the enterprise
  • To develop, maintain and update learning portal of the bank.
  • To work with internal colleagues to source and develop E-Learning content and material and develop and maintain a suite of e-learning modules that are up to date and quality assured by subject matter experts.
  • To assist in procurement of e-learning resources from national and internal universities and/or other service providers and make them part of learning portal.
  • To be responsible for the formulation of an E-Training plan across the organization
  • Manage E-learning unit in coordination with Management Development Centers.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Sciences or relevant IT Degree.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 year experience in similar responsibilities
  • Prior experience in training & development function of a large size organization would be desirable.
  • Strong Action Script 3 development skills.
  • Proficiency in dynamic web development languages including PHP, JavaScript, CSS , XML, HTML, AJAX, DHTML and Database MYSQL
  • Experience in operating a SCORM-compliant LMS environment required.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming language is required.
  • Experience in the use of Adobe Flash to create programmatic animations required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite especially Adobe Captivate 5.
  • An eye for design and composition would be desirable.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks required.
